Chelsea, Bayern and PSG battle for James Rodriguez



Bayern Munich Chelsea and PSG are all set to battle for the signature of James Rodriguez this summer. The Colombian international has been limited to a substitute role at Real Madrid since Zinedine Zidane took over from Rafa Benitez in 2015. James played a meagre 1180 minutes in la liga last season and was benched during Real Madrid’s champions leagues final victory over Juventus. Carlo Ancelotti is a huge fan of Rodriguez who while managing at Real Madrid scored 17 goals and assisted another 18 in 46 appearances. Ancelloti hopes to reinforce his squad with James signing this summer. Chelsea are also reportedly interested in Rodriguez’s and where seen as favourites for his signature.However the Blues are not willing to pay Madrid’s asking price of 70 million euros. Bayern Munich look to have take the lead in signing the columbian international . Javier Hernandez Bonnet, sports director for Colombia’s Caracol TV said onMonday that  “James Rodriguez does not want to stay in Real Madrid. Things have come to a turning point; he is closer to Bayern Munich than Paris Saint-Germain.”
