Its official German winger Nicolai Muller, 29 will not extend his contract with club Hamburg SV. The player and his agent met with Hamburg sporting director Jens Todt to discuss a new deal on Thursday. However by Saturday contract talks had broken down. Muller does not feel that Hamburgs offer is sufficient enough.
Hamburg has decided to end negotiations as Muller had rejected their best offer. Jens Todt told reporters on Saturday, “He has informed us that he does not accept our offer for the time being, so the talks are over and we have made a very good offer from our point of view.”
Muller excelled at HSV last seasons scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists in 25 appearances. The winger has established himself as one of hamburgs key players in recent years and will be a bit loss for the club.
VFL Wolfsburg have reportedly offered Muller a €4million/year contract. Muller has also attracted interest from the Premier league with West Ham and South Hampton battling for his signature.
