Spanish publication Fichajes claim Antonio Conte’s side have secured a loan agreement with Bayern for Sanches, and will announce the deal shortly.
Sanches will be loaned to Chelsea for 2 years with an option to buy. The Portuguese midfielder had a break out season with Benfica in 2015/2016 and impressed with Portugal in Euro 2016.
However after transferring to Bayern Munich he failed to impress and only made 17 appearances in the Bundesliga last season. The Blues will hope that Sanches recaptures the form that turned him into one the hottest youth prospects in Europe.
AC Milan were also interested in acquiring Sanches however the player preferred a move to the Premier League over Series A.
